WAKE UP TO SELF-LOVE Part I
Why are so many teens and women trying to change their appearance? Why are we spending billion of dollars trying to change our hair, color, face and body shape? Why are we falling the hype, “Blonds have more fun”, or you have to be thin to be beautiful? What do you think would happen if we spent all of this time and effort, not to mention money on inner self improvement, learning to love and appreciate our selves or discovering and developing our talents?
Where is our self love?
First, Laurie is an author, inspirational, and professional speaker, certified Life Coach as well as a radio host. She teaches self-love, self reliance, inner wisdom and empowerment, the same exact tools we are developing for ourselves. Ms. Martin has written several books than you can find at: www.Amazon.com. And second, I found out about Laurie Martin, from Kim Coles, site:
Kim’s site is called G.I. F.T.S, which stands for Gratitude, Intention, Forgiveness, Talents, Self love, skills we should use daily. We will spend our next sessions exploring the concepts, tools and skills we can use, learn and develop to live and have the life we deserve.
This title is directly from Laurie’s site.
How do you know when you have grown in self-love?
1. When you are able to say, "I'm sorry, I was wrong" without excuses.
2. When you are going through a tough situation and you are focusing on the wisdom you are gaining and how you are expanding your heart- into more parts of yourself.
3. When you notice you are not personalizing other people’s behavior as much.
4. When you notice you are able to vocalize and communicate instead of run away.
5. When you have the courage and belief that you are cable of achieving something.
6. When you describe situations from a higher, positive perspective without blaming others.
7. When you can see the goodness in others even when they are not feeling good about themselves.
8. When you are able to forgive yourself and others easier.
9. You are able to discern what isn’t working for you in relationships; you vocalize it in a responsible way and take action in a way that brings you to a healthy empowered place.
10. You allow your true self to come out.
11. You trust yourself, your intuition and feelings.
12. You can laugh when you do silly things instead of reading yourself the riot act.
13. You catch yourself when your mind is spinning on negative things or fixating on others too much, and you draw your energy back to positive thoughts more quickly.
